Our founder, Jennifer Cotton is a STEM.org certified Educational Instructor and a Google Certified Educator Level 1. She has a Bachelor's degree from CSUB, and is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Education Technology & Instructional Design. She has worked in the education field for ten years (teaching the content standards for all grades TK-8th) and has taught and mentored students from TK-12th grades.  In addition, she has mentored countless families on social-emotional learning, curriculum and instructional methods, as well as how to build the best educational experience for their child.  She strongly believes in research-backed instructional methods that include project-based learning and creating a supportive learning environment rooted in the 4 C’s of 21st Century Skills: critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity. Seeing a need for more of these educational opportunities in our community she decided to embark on a new and exciting journey, launching her own educational services company, The Learning Journey Co.
